OPEN STUDIO WEEKLY
Open studio hours are for working on your own clay projects without instruction or assistance.
- Open studio hours are only for individuals who already have some experience in clay and can work without direction.
- Open studio hours are also great for current students who want more studio time beyond their class hours.
- Children ages 14+ may register for Open Studio only with a concurrently registered and attending parent/guardian.
This listing only allows access to the Clay Center main studio during the designated weekly time slot shown. If you would like more access, please consider our Open Studio Monthly or Open Studio 24/7 options!
Clay and Firing Fees
- Firing of work is now included in your payment!
- Clay is not included with your payment, but can be purchased from us onsite. A 25-lb bag of clay ranges from $24 - $39, depending on the clay body.
- If you bring in clay you purchased elsewhere, it must be suitable for Cone 6 glaze firings (called "midrange"). Low-fire clay (cones 06 to 04) cannot be used in our studio.
- If you can't confirm which clay body you have by the manufacturer's product name or number, we will need to test-fire a sample to cone 6 to make sure it won't melt down in our glaze firings.
If you have any questions, please just email us at info@nolaclay.org!
